Newly opened Horseshoe Las Vegas to host World Series of Poker

After a year-long remodelling of the casino, Horseshoe Las Vegas officially opened on 24 March.

The first Horseshoe Casino was launched in 1951, with the first WSOP tournament held there in 1970.

The Horseshoe brand is owned by Caesars Entertainment, which operates and manages 10 Horseshoe properties across North America.

Caesars announced in February 2022 its plans to purchase Bally’s Las Vegas and transform it into a Horseshoe Casino.

Jason Gregorec, SVP and General Manager of the property, said: “The arrival of Horseshoe on The Strip marks a significant moment for Caesars Entertainment, the Horseshoe name and the entire destination.

“Not only are we excited for guests to experience the redesigned resort and its latest offerings, but we are also proud to reintroduce the historic gaming brand to Las Vegas.”

The WSOP will run from 30 May to 18 July and will be hosted by both Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas.

It will be the 54th annual iteration of the poker tournament, with 197,662 entrants in the 2022 WSOP.

Last year's prize pool also broke records,cassino ao vivo with the total amount reaching $348m across all tournaments.

There were a total of 8,663 entrants in the main event alone, with almost $81m spread out amongst the top 1,299 placing players.
